Romantic Florence goes on tour!

Following the enthusiastic critical reception of Romantic Florence (a “rare and unmissable” recording), Marina Comparato and Gianni Fabbrini embark on an Italian tour dedicated to the chamber vocal music of Luigi Gordigiani, the 19th-century composer affectionately known as “the Italian Schubert.” Released last December by Dynamic, the project marks a world-premiere recording and brings to light a remarkable collection of songs for voice and piano, notable for their expressive richness and their deep connection to the cultural world of Risorgimento-era Florence. The tour opens on 31 January at the Conservatory of Reggio Emilia, followed by the following dates:

  • 1 February – Palazzo dei Pio, Carpi
  • 8 February – Palazzo Blu, Pisa
  • 14 February – Sala Baldini, Rome

Further performances in other Italian cities are planned later in the year.

Romantic Florence is supported by Teatro del Maggio.
